Established in 1997, Fiona McDonald is an independent British design company of furniture makers. We are well known in the luxury interior design trade and offer the flexibility to customise any element to suit your project, however large or small.

For us, bespoke means that every piece is entirely hand made to order to meet individual specifications. Every element can be personalised to create a unique piece not only in measurement but also material, detail and finish. We pay meticulous attention to detail at every stage of our service and pride ourselves on making the process simple and clear.

At the heart of our business is our dedicated team of experienced and skilled artisans who skilfully construct each piece of furniture by hand. They combine time-honoured methods, with modern technology and finishes to create something custom made to meet your exacting standards. We place the utmost importance on the quality of our materials and craftsmanship to provide you with beautifully made pieces, built to last.

We believe in the enduring value of locally hand crafted pieces. All our furniture, seating and mirrors is made in the South East of England while our glass is hand-blown in Northern Italy.

Sustainability is ingrained in what we do. All our timber is from sustainable sources with certification from FSC or PEFC. We only want to make pieces that stand the test of time.

Fiona has also been sourcing mid-century antiques for over 25 years. The showroom has an established reputation for elegant mid-century modern design. ‘My eye is always drawn to well-made and practical pieces in a distinctive style that fit into either a modern or more traditional decor. It’s exciting to discover a neglected item, and visualise its potential. We have wonderful restorers who revitalise almost every piece in some way.
